When the "vaccine" was mandated at my hospital, the requirement spiel sent by email stated a few things:
-The vaccine prevents asymptomatic transmission, thereby protecting unvaccinated patients/visitors and those not yet eligible for the vaccine (young children) or those with compromised immune systems.
-It's nearly 100% effective against severe disease, hospitalization and death. It offers protection against circulating viral variants.
-Safe and effective for pregnant women.
-There are only rare adverse effects including anaphylaxis and one in 7 million thrombocytopenic syndrome.
-It prevents development of chronic covid-19 symptoms (long covid).
I knew this was a crock of shit at the time as I already knew multiple people who still got sick who got the jabs, plus one coworker with arrhythmias, one with a swollen lymph node the size of a golfball, and one who developed severe POTS and was unable to return to work. There was also a study out of Wisconsin right before the mandate occurred that was showing "breakthrough" cases and high viral loads in the vaccinated. It really was surreal watching the rest of the world pretend as if these injections made you bulletproof for the next 2 years, going so far as to segregate society and ban people from public places. I'd like to do away with this phony belief that injecting chemicals into your arm makes you resistant to disease.
Seeing all these "experts" commenting, all the new article headlines, etc.. reminds me of how bad it was. It was/is infuriating. I lost friends b/c I wouldn't vaccinate. I called colleagues who I had taken TWO graduate immunology courses with, asking WHY should I vaccinate for something for which I had a high antibody titer (paid for myself) ....crickets....just do it....its a good idea.... yeah right! Tell that to the many, many people I know with fast moving cancers, autoimmune disorders....oh yeah - and the ones that died from heart attacks (all under 50)
I was forced to take a humiliating spit test every week for a YEAR b/c I refused to submit. In front of a "monitor", like a common criminal.....or I would be put on leave without pay - NOT BE ABLE TO FEED MY CHILDREN. And I know many, many people treated worse. Disgusting!
I don't say this lightly - these people are all evil. They are the Germans, walking around aimlessly, circa 1949ish, living with the shame and knowledge of what they allowed to happen to their country....pretending and wishing they could hide and go back to "normal".
I have never trusted gov't, but now I rank the medical community right there with them. Stay away from doctors and hospitals as much as you can. They ( with a few exceptions) have all violated their oath. We don't even live in the same country anymore.

This is a tremendous summary of the situation, one that should in a sane world force people to see logic and reason … but most won’t. Here in Australia in early 2020 the average citizen responded to the purely psychological projection of covid fear by rushing out and causing a toilet paper shortage, in the first of what soon became almost weekly displays of cowardice and moral turpitude. Of course they were only following the example of their brave leaders. As one of very few people in my social circle who saw through the psy-op, to this day I wonder about the people I once would be friendly with, who projected the worst of humanity, closed their eyes to reality and outsourced their critical thinking to tyrannical bureaucracies and absolutely refused to be argued with about any of it. But now they’ve simply “moved on” … I’m surrounded by “Good Australians” who can’t remember ever supporting any of the tyranny, and who maintain the mandates and lockdowns were at worst poorly-conceived, but ultimately still beneficial.
What I find troubling, and at the same time, rewarding, is that I felt much the same way as you describe in this (incredibly thorough) article, back in December 2021. I am not a medical doctor. Hell, I am not a doctor of any kind! Even as a biomedical engineer, with no medical training, it seemed obvious to me that the vaccinations did not, and could not, perform the miracles they were expected to perform. I co-wrote an article about it, for an organization named PANDA, with which I suspect many of your readers are familiar. Not only would the vaccination program not protect, but it would, given the MoA of the so-called vaccines, make things worse. I am so thankful that you have been writing about this terrible debacle. I'm 74, retired professor of political theory -- in March 2020, I sensed something was not right....as months went by, former students with covid would call asking for info on treatments. I told them what protocols I was aware of that they could use and to do it asap. Very very few doctors would prescribe anything...just said stay at home and if your lips turn blue go to ER.....what??? This is in Ft. Worth, Tx. By then I had checked out the "ingredients" - how it worked, etc. I never got one and have been ostracized by family and friends since. (though two now have had blood clots in lungs, 2 miscarriages, a stent)
Please keep us all posted on any updates to this. Governments have been bought off....long ago.
Something struck me recently: Hotez *IS* the model NPC. It's like he flames out and sputters like a f*cking robot each time he has to actually critically use his brain. But when he's peddling all the right government talking points, he's golden. He only knows one frequency. Death for profit and bowties.
For me, the most fascinating phenomenon to observe was, by far, the human behavior. In the beginning of the "pandemic", I made numerous predictions based on what I previously "knew" about mankind; every single prediction failed spectacularly. Thanks to this whole ordeal, I learned a lot, and now I know what people really are.
When I looked at the initial trial data, I was overwhelmed by HOW FEW PEOPLE ACTUALLY GOT SICK IN THE FIRST PLACE. Vaxxed or no, the trials showed there really wasn't a whole lot to worry about when it came to covid.
Now obviously the datacrime of counting people as vaxxed ONLY after two weeks had passed since their 'final' shot is a huge deal -- it directly led to that early 100% VE and the initial justifications for mandates. (Your school has a 100% graduation rate if you only count people who make it to graduation!)
All of these 'mistakes' only went in one direction -- which is how we know they weren't really mistakes.

It is worse than you portray because a very early newspaper (I'm pretty sure it was WSJ) published well beforehand what the study was not designed to do and testing transmission was right up there. The article also referred to the very low bar set by Fauci et al on "efficacy" which was laughable for such an experimental product.
For me -- and I spoke out among my friend groups on facebook right from the start of the pandemic -- this was one of the most frustrating aspects of the pandemic. Much of the information was right there, even in the MSM and yet it was simply disregarded almost as if the "95%" efficacy nullified all of the real facts and more importantly, context, of the matter.
I find it amusing when you noted the "outrage" at the testimony because I remember when that happened, I looked and said, yes, but this is not news, since they told us this from day one.
One of the MANY elephants in the room, is the Diamond Princess. A ship-wide outbreak resulted in only 20% of the persons onboard developing illness, with only EIGHT deaths.
As a result, ANY claims of efficacy made by a vaccine peddler need to be reduced right out of the gate to 20% of their claimed figures.
1. The rule of simplification - reducing all data to a simple confrontation between 'Good and Bad', 'Friend and Foe'.
2. The rule of disfiguration - discrediting the opposition by crude smears and parodies.
3. The rule of transfusion - manipulating the consensus values of the target audience for one's own ends.
4. The rule of unanimity - presenting one's viewpoint as if it were unanimous opinion of all right-thinking people: draining the doubting individual into agreement by the appeal of star-performers, by social pressure , and by 'psychological contagion'.
5. The rule of orchestration - endlessly repeating the same messages in different variations and combinations.

Lessons:
1. Can't vaccinate your way to head immunity.
2. Can't use vaccines for respiratory pathogens (another reason flu shots fail miserably)
3. Vaccinate during an acute outbreak, guarantee yourself death and misery from pathogenic variants in those vaccinated with narrow spectrum jabs.
4. And never ever ever trust the government or health experts on anything to do with health.
