I went back and looked at Plato's cave analogy. Prisoners were deceived that the shadows on the wall were reality while they were created by their captors using puppets between the fire and the wall. No, I think you might want to look up the definition of ‘brainwashed’. Psychiatry is all about medicated a person with mental health issues to the point of making them a Zombie. Do you know how deadly smallpox is? It kills 30%. And yet you do not protest when you are told that among vaccinated it killed only 8%. How much was the efficacy of that early vaccination against death? 73%! Yes, not perfect but far far from nothing or worse as is claimed here. Did you believe any of this?
Is Leicester method effective in managing epidemics? Yes it is for sertain type of disease where people do not become infectious before early symptoms. It requires early quarantining of contacts and separating already sick from possibly uninfected (forcefully when necessary). This was the Leicester method. In principle it was contact tracing and isolation.
Did it help any unvaccinated who already were infected with smallpox? Of course not. For them the death rate was still 30% and not 8%.
Do you think that the Leicester method it is not used for COVID-19? Of course it is. You can't be this gullible. Right? This was the only method we had before vaccines arrived.
Unfortunately COVID-19 is different disease than smallpox as it has very short incubation period making it spread much faster, it can be transmitted already before first symptoms appear making it very difficult to isolate people early before they have infected many others.
Finally, did you buy the lie about acquiring natural herd immunity too? How good will it work for smallpox in your opinion? How many dead and deformed people can you tolerate to reach herd immunity against smallpox?
In conclusion, the smallpox was eradicated because of vaccination (with even better vaccines than on early days) and other modern epidemiological interventions.

Dear Unbiased Opinions. The claim that "smallpox" (or more specifically Variola Major) had a 30% case fatality rate is just taken from thin air. You can read the work of Donald Hopkins, MD (WHO vaccinator), explaining that we have NO way of knowing if the disease called smallpox in the 20th century is the same as "smallpox" of the 17th. Further, tales of high death rates are not demonstrated by records in Europe and even the Americas - see William White (1885). Smallpox (aka measles, monkey pox, chicken pox, horsepox, cowpox, kine pox, swine pox, Foot and Mouth disease, red gound, and or syphilis) is largely a function of diet (nutrition) and access to clean water.
However, if you truly believe in vaccinology, I suggest that you take the Offit challenge, see Pediatrics 2002; 109: 124-129, where he and co-authors declared that an infant can take 10,000 vaccines "at any one time." Please prove him correct ... and show us all how foolish we are to oppose the jabs.
I read the updated? article - your reasoning and understanding looks correct to me. For the most part, we have nutrition (health) or deficiency/toxicity (disease). Of course, resonance (thoughts/hormones), emotions, and stress also play a role.

An uncle and his uncle living in same house had smallpox during the epidemic in Ala sometime around 1923-25. The house quarantined, only those 2 had it, both survived. The local news quoted the Bham public health officer in Dec 1925 as saying of 2000 who had a serious version of smallpox that year, 6 died. ( More like 0.3%)

Talking about today, what I find most significant about Covid claims, Vincent Racaniello, and the nonsense of Fauci and other pro-vaxxers, is that if we start to analyze the claims of virology, vaccinology, and the germ theory, we see that their claims are tautological, non-falsifiable, and even fantastical. For example, Racaniello claims that there are over 4 billion types of distinct viruses, yet fewer than 20 are contagious and generate illness in humans. Such would effectively make the probability of viral contagion zero. Either Racaniello does not understand probability, or he ignores the obvious - "viruses are not contagious"; and such was stated by Jenner and his contemporaries, in the late 1700s (see Jenner 1798). They saw smallpox first hand, and saw NO contagion via inhalation. The same is true of polio where, from 1909-1949, all studies looking for airborne transmission, or paralysis due to ingestion of "polio virus", found nothing. (See Howe, American Journal of Medicine, May 1949).

And the assertion that Sweden had "zero total excess deaths" is a simply laughable lie. Sweden in 2020 had 7.7% excess mortality. Denmark, Finland and Norway (which all did enforce lockdowns and mask mandates) had excess mortality of 1.5%, 1.0% and 0.0% in 2020.

1. No they did not. 7.7% WAS the TOTAL excess deaths in Sweden for 2020. A 7.7% increase in all deaths compared to 2019. I'm not claiming that all of the excess deaths were caused by COVID-19. I don't know whether they were, because I've not seen any such detailed breakdown of the causes of death. But I do know that you were wrong about Sweden having 0 excess deaths.
2. It wasn't an extrapolation, it was from the outcomes of all COVID cases through 2020. 97% recovered and 3% of cases ended in death. This was the data for all verified COVID-19 cases worldwide, not just "chronically ill patients".
3. Claiming that "most of those most susceptible died already" is again absurd. You seem to be assuming that everyone on Earth got infected with COVID at some point in 2020, which is far from the case. Even now at the end of 2022, there's been less than 700 million confirmed cases of COVID worldwide, out of a global population of 8 billion. At the end of 2020 there had been just under 2 million deaths worldwide from COVID. Do you honestly believe that there were only 2 million people on the planet who fell into the "most susceptible" category?
Very good insights. About "smallpox" - I encourage you to review the video made by the Russian, Kate Sugak (2020) "The Truth about Smallpox" (on bitchute [dot] org). She shows that "smallpox" never went away - but with improvements in diet and hygiene, the cleansing processes (measles, chickenpox, smallpox, cowpox, monkeypox, shingles, syphilis, herpes) have diminished in frequency and intensity.
As you rightly noted, diet plans a most significant role - especially in manifestations of skin health - and sugar (especially refined cane sugar) was never really in the human diet until the 1600s. Since the late 1800s, consumption of refined sugar, refined wheat flour, and now artificial foods and chemicals (HFCS, aspartame, glyphosate, industrial fluoride, and colored dyes) have only exacerbated the ills of mass vaccination.

I have longed for Dr. Humphries wisdom and guidance since the beginning of covid. I know she is a private person and was terribly "beat-up" by the trolls and their masters when she wrote this book with Roman and was giving talks however-many years ago now, but I selfishly wanted her to speak-out, abuse be damned. I owe an unquantifiable debt to Dr. Humphries. She is the person who woke me up, just in time, to save my sanity during covid. I was just as brainwashed as everyone else when it came to vaccines and allopathic medicine in general. I was listening to an older interview with Catherine Austin Fitts about something completely unrelated to health or medicine or covid. Out of the blue, Catherine mentioned the movie "Vaxxed II." Like, literally, Catherine said to the interviewer, "Hey, have you seen the new 'Vaxxed' movie?" It was like the thought had just occurred to her and she just threw it out there. The reason I mention this, is because I never would have tuned into an interview about a movie called "Vaxxed," or something of similar title or substance. Hearing Catherine talk about it and question vaccines leant credibility to the idea and made me very curious, especially because I was already experiencing a niggling doubt about the intentions, motivations and ability of our regulatory agencies and medical establishment. I think we all realize they are captured, it's just a big jagged pill to swallow when you realize how far gone they really are. I watched "Vaxxed II" (and then "Vaxxed"). In "Vaxed II," Dr. Humphries is interviewed about Guardacil and other HPV vaccines, as well as vaccines in general. I immediately looked her up, everything I could find on youtube and the like. I bought her books and read them. I've read "Dissolving Illusions" three or four times now. Anyway, this was in February 2020. I truly believe there was some sort of energy at work, I would call it God, that put me on this path to find Dr. Humphries and learn from her so that I could be awake during this crisis.

The polio vaccine is claimed to have ended a polio epidemic even though the vaccine wasn't introduced until the epidemic was over. Dr. Klenner presented case histories of patients cured of polio with ascorbate (Vitamin C) and no vaccine has ever been shown to cure anything whatsoever. New cases of polio have been traced to vaccine administration, in fact.
You can see more about the benefits of VC from Frederick Klenner (1949). Klenner cured infantile paralysis (wrongly called polio) and measles, flu, and more. Arguably, the key is the role of antioxidants, e.g., glutathione, vitamin E, selenium, zinc, etc.

There are a lot of good doctors in the field and the thing I'm really hoping for is all of this creates the space for them to be able to do what they want to do for their patients.
It is my wish that all the "good" doctors somehow find each other and form a coalition, a common substack(!) or in some way organize. What is REALLY needed is a parallel economy of the sort Andrew Torba(GAB CEO) has been pushing.
As a suggestion, I would think you must by now have knowledge of quite a list of doctors that have had enough of this terrible situation. Perhaps, if you gathered a few of the main ones and formed a GAB group, you could REALLY make a difference. Adding a zealot like Steve Kirsch could act as a great catalyst!
The USA, let me restate that, the WORLD needs a healthcare provider organization(HMO?) which allows docs to "practice" and the flexibility to use off-label drugs. I would personally travel to another state to go to a doctor who would see me and actually "practice" medicine rather than follow like a zombie the FDA only approved meds.

My general medical philosophy is that there a lot of different approaches that can be used to approach disease, but, especially with the modern commercialization of science we've been habituated to a rather nihilistic viewpoint that only things within our very narrow lense of medicine can be done...rather than viewing that lense simply as being another useful tool.
I'm a big believer in the potential of each human being, how many opportunities being alive in this modern era gives us and what we can become if we embrace all of that rather than the sterile reality many live in where everything is a largely meaningless monotonous repetition.
When you expand the window of what's possible with medicine, it makes life a lot more exciting, both for the broader scientific or spiritual paradigms it opens up, and because when people let go of the things that are dragging them, it makes them a lot more able to connect with life.
From watching a lot of activist causes play out over my life, I've felt there is a very clear limit one what you can get done by "fighting evil" despite how much you feel pulled to do it, and you get a lot further by "promoting good."
That was the plan I've been working on for a long long time and cultivating in my personal circle. There are a lot of doctors in the medical field who want that too, they just don't have the support to do it (a likeminded peer group, training or platform).
COVID has been challenging for me since I wanted to have my public focus be entirely on supporting the good and not picking fights. At the same time, most of my family were executed by the Nazis, so I know theres a time when you have to speak out, and that's what I'm doing in places like here.

My local library in Madison, Wisconsin has Dissolving Illusions available for check out. I read the book. The research done by Dr. Humphries is extremely thorough. Parents of vaccine injured and deceased children are well aware of the myths of vaccination. If vaccines were "safe & effective" then Big Pharma would not have demanded a liability shield. With the passage of NCVIA in 1986, the CDC recommended schedule has exponentially grown. We need a full Congressional investigation similar to Big Tobacco. To be very honest, the last two years have got me to the point of distrusting most of the medical profession. I am blessed to have friends and family who are doctors, so I know there are docs who really want to do the right thing. And I know a few are trying. And many are afraid to speak out. I get it. I read most of the book. It was an eye opener about the sordid history of vaccines. I would reconsider vaccines now for my child. My grandchild was certainly injured by the HPV poison. I'm so grateful that this is coming to light, it's so important to understand our history. There are ALWAYS relevant examples to draw from, because humans and our assorted societies somehow end up repeating the same patterns, time and time again. Just came across this wonderful article and wanted to thank Midwestern Doc for posting it. I read Dr. Humphrey's book about a decade ago after my son suffered a serious adverse reaction (which the docs all dismissed as coincidence). She was right on the money back then and it's good to see it getting more exposure today. Good sanitation, nutrition, and clean water did far more to reduce infectious disease spread and mortality than vaccines ever did. Don't poop where you get your food and water has always been good advice.

Dear Unbiased Opinions. The claim that "smallpox" (or more specifically Variola Major) had a 30% case fatality rate is just taken from thin air. You can read the work of Donald Hopkins, MD (WHO vaccinator), explaining that we have NO way of knowing if the disease called smallpox in the 20th century is the same as "smallpox" of the 17th. Further, tales of high death rates are not demonstrated by records in Europe and even the Americas - see William White (1885). Smallpox (aka measles, monkey pox, chicken pox, horsepox, cowpox, kine pox, swine pox, Foot and Mouth disease, red gound, and or syphilis) is largely a function of diet (nutrition) and access to clean water.
However, if you truly believe in vaccinology, I suggest that you take the Offit challenge, see Pediatrics 2002; 109: 124-129, where he and co-authors declared that an infant can take 10,000 vaccines "at any one time." Please prove him correct ... and show us all how foolish we are to oppose the jabs.

An uncle and his uncle living in same house had smallpox during the epidemic in Ala sometime around 1923-25. The house quarantined, only those 2 had it, both survived. The local news quoted the Bham public health officer in Dec 1925 as saying of 2000 who had a serious version of smallpox that year, 6 died. ( More like 0.3%)

Talking about today, what I find most significant about Covid claims, Vincent Racaniello, and the nonsense of Fauci and other pro-vaxxers, is that if we start to analyze the claims of virology, vaccinology, and the germ theory, we see that their claims are tautological, non-falsifiable, and even fantastical. For example, Racaniello claims that there are over 4 billion types of distinct viruses, yet fewer than 20 are contagious and generate illness in humans. Such would effectively make the probability of viral contagion zero. Either Racaniello does not understand probability, or he ignores the obvious - "viruses are not contagious"; and such was stated by Jenner and his contemporaries, in the late 1700s (see Jenner 1798). They saw smallpox first hand, and saw NO contagion via inhalation. The same is true of polio where, from 1909-1949, all studies looking for airborne transmission, or paralysis due to ingestion of "polio virus", found nothing. (See Howe, American Journal of Medicine, May 1949).
So, I might be a plant. I hope that I am seen as a tree of knowledge, with deep roots, and spreading my branches to offer shade and comfort to those who want relief from the blinding lights of pharma propaganda, and storms of hatred from the ignorant.

Ironically, the terms quack and quackery were first applied in the early 1800s to those who practiced vaccination, blood-letting, and starved people who were sick while they lived in pig filth. In reality, they've *caused* mass death by convincing people like you to refuse vaccines. Buttar has also caused immense harm with his fraudulent "treatments" that most certainly have not ever cured cancer. I wouldn't be surprised if they all honestly believe everything they say. And the assertion that Sweden had "zero total excess deaths" is a simply laughable lie. Sweden in 2020 had 7.7% excess mortality. Denmark, Finland and Norway (which all did enforce lockdowns and mask mandates) had excess mortality of 1.5%, 1.0% and 0.0% in 2020.

1. No they did not. 7.7% WAS the TOTAL excess deaths in Sweden for 2020. A 7.7% increase in all deaths compared to 2019. I'm not claiming that all of the excess deaths were caused by COVID-19. I don't know whether they were, because I've not seen any such detailed breakdown of the causes of death. But I do know that you were wrong about Sweden having 0 excess deaths.
2. It wasn't an extrapolation, it was from the outcomes of all COVID cases through 2020. 97% recovered and 3% of cases ended in death. This was the data for all verified COVID-19 cases worldwide, not just "chronically ill patients".
3. Claiming that "most of those most susceptible died already" is again absurd. You seem to be assuming that everyone on Earth got infected with COVID at some point in 2020, which is far from the case. Even now at the end of 2022, there's been less than 700 million confirmed cases of COVID worldwide, out of a global population of 8 billion. At the end of 2020 there had been just under 2 million deaths worldwide from COVID. Do you honestly believe that there were only 2 million people on the planet who fell into the "most susceptible" category?

I have longed for Dr. Humphries wisdom and guidance since the beginning of covid. I know she is a private person and was terribly "beat-up" by the trolls and their masters when she wrote this book with Roman and was giving talks however-many years ago now, but I selfishly wanted her to speak-out, abuse be damned. I owe an unquantifiable debt to Dr. Humphries. She is the person who woke me up, just in time, to save my sanity during covid. I was just as brainwashed as everyone else when it came to vaccines and allopathic medicine in general. I was listening to an older interview with Catherine Austin Fitts about something completely unrelated to health or medicine or covid. Out of the blue, Catherine mentioned the movie "Vaxxed II." Like, literally, Catherine said to the interviewer, "Hey, have you seen the new 'Vaxxed' movie?" It was like the thought had just occurred to her and she just threw it out there. The reason I mention this, is because I never would have tuned into an interview about a movie called "Vaxxed," or something of similar title or substance. Hearing Catherine talk about it and question vaccines leant credibility to the idea and made me very curious, especially because I was already experiencing a niggling doubt about the intentions, motivations and ability of our regulatory agencies and medical establishment. I think we all realize they are captured, it's just a big jagged pill to swallow when you realize how far gone they really are. I watched "Vaxxed II" (and then "Vaxxed"). In "Vaxed II," Dr. Humphries is interviewed about Guardacil and other HPV vaccines, as well as vaccines in general. I immediately looked her up, everything I could find on youtube and the like. I bought her books and read them. I've read "Dissolving Illusions" three or four times now. Anyway, this was in February 2020. I truly believe there was some sort of energy at work, I would call it God, that put me on this path to find Dr. Humphries and learn from her so that I could be awake during this crisis.

There are a lot of good doctors in the field and the thing I'm really hoping for is all of this creates the space for them to be able to do what they want to do for their patients.

My general medical philosophy is that there a lot of different approaches that can be used to approach disease, but, especially with the modern commercialization of science we've been habituated to a rather nihilistic viewpoint that only things within our very narrow lense of medicine can be done...rather than viewing that lense simply as being another useful tool.
I'm a big believer in the potential of each human being, how many opportunities being alive in this modern era gives us and what we can become if we embrace all of that rather than the sterile reality many live in where everything is a largely meaningless monotonous repetition.
When you expand the window of what's possible with medicine, it makes life a lot more exciting, both for the broader scientific or spiritual paradigms it opens up, and because when people let go of the things that are dragging them, it makes them a lot more able to connect with life.
From watching a lot of activist causes play out over my life, I've felt there is a very clear limit one what you can get done by "fighting evil" despite how much you feel pulled to do it, and you get a lot further by "promoting good."
That was the plan I've been working on for a long long time and cultivating in my personal circle. There are a lot of doctors in the medical field who want that too, they just don't have the support to do it (a likeminded peer group, training or platform).

My local library in Madison, Wisconsin has Dissolving Illusions available for check out. I read the book. The research done by Dr. Humphries is extremely thorough. Parents of vaccine injured and deceased children are well aware of the myths of vaccination. If vaccines were "safe & effective" then Big Pharma would not have demanded a liability shield. With the passage of NCVIA in 1986, the CDC recommended schedule has exponentially grown. We need a full Congressional investigation similar to Big Tobacco. To be very honest, the last two years have got me to the point of distrusting most of the medical profession. I am blessed to have friends and family who are doctors, so I know there are docs who really want to do the right thing. And I know a few are trying. And many are afraid to speak out. I get it. There are ALWAYS relevant examples to draw from, because humans and our assorted societies somehow end up repeating the same patterns, time and time again. Do you know how deadly smallpox is? It kills 30%. And yet you do not protest when you are told that among vaccinated it killed only 8%. Is Leicester method effective in managing epidemics? Yes it is for certain type of disease where people do not become infectious before early symptoms. It requires early quarantining of contacts and separating already sick from possibly uninfected (forcefully when necessary). This was the Leicester method. In principle it was contact tracing and isolation.
Did it help any unvaccinated who already were infected with smallpox? Of course not. For them the death rate was still 30% and not 8%.
Do you think that the Leicester method it is not used for COVID-19? Of course it is. You can't be this gullible. Right? This was the only method we had before vaccines arrived.
Unfortunately COVID-19 is different disease than smallpox as it has very short incubation period making it spread much faster, it can be transmitted already before first symptoms appear making it very difficult to isolate people early before they have infected many others.
Finally, did you buy the lie about acquiring natural herd immunity too? How good will it work for smallpox in your opinion? How many dead and deformed people can you tolerate to reach herd immunity against smallpox?
In conclusion, the smallpox was eradicated because of vaccination (with even better vaccines than on early days) and other modern epidemiological interventions.

Just came across this wonderful article and wanted to thank Midwestern Doc for posting it. I read Dr. Humphrey's book about a decade ago after my son suffered a serious adverse reaction (which the docs all dismissed as coincidence). She was right on the money back then and it's good to see it getting more exposure today. Good sanitation, nutrition, and clean water did far more to reduce infectious disease spread and mortality than vaccines ever did. Don't poop where you get your food and water has always been good advice.
