Do you know the whole story of how Soy was first marketed in the USA? They paid health-food cookbook authors to put it in as a health food ingredient to create the perception it was a miracle health food.

And I pay the price as it affects my Synthroid medicine. Don't trust Med Mags, they tell you what their masters in the fed government tells them to. Nor believe all the miracle cures in ads, they don't exist. Glucosamine And Chondroitin are expensive, hub took them for years, didn't help knee or shoulder OA pain. Gummy Bears have taken over the adult section, adult strength is dangerous to small children. NO CHILD PROOF CAPS.

Synthroid is not an optimal medication. Might want to read some functional medicine MDs views on Synthroid and why so many never get well on it.

People often respond better to natural thyroid than synthetic thyroid. Sometimes, you can address the thyroid issues just by taking the correct form of iodine. If you want to do a comprehensive thyroid work up, you need to also check T4, T3, reverse T3 and the ratios between them. TSH doesn't always get everything you need to know.

He checks the T-3-4, but that is all. I don't do well on the 1.12, and the 1.37 is a tad high. The lower dose sets off all the muscle and joint pain from OA/Fibromyalgia/Neuropathy. Since Covid office visits are way to brief. Plus he has to treat the Type 2 Diabetes caused by Gastropresis. That one I know he has no clue about, even the Gastro doesn't. I'm having BS drops, as we are eating less due to lack of fresh food, or cost. I'm sensitive to many commercial foods. I taste the metal from the cans. Know to stay out of Frozen aisle. My GI tract is a disaster from OA drugs and Estrogens. The 4 months of SIBO (2nd attack) which started Jan 1 has just made it worse as it was untreated. Had to wait till they could schedule a colon screen, Breathe test was in the Red, they wanted the colon screen that bad. 14 Gastro's in the practice and not 1 could run it sooner. Then at the wrong time of day for a Diabetic. I want the 4 Barrett's Esophagus pre cancers removed, get the song and dance I have nothing to worry about. 4 of them remove them, just not this new gastro I was assigned. My old 1, no longer sees patients, his PA does. This 1 has a grass green just out of school PA. And I don't trust PA's.

Sorry to hear that. You may benefit from trying to avoid metal in foods (ie. canned things) and anything containing aluminum (which includes normally processed table salt and unfiletered tap water)

Can you provide links? My Endo is not happy with the 1.37 dose, but the 1.12 doesn't work well. Generic broke my mouth out in ulcers, and hair started falling out. They have no dose in between.

Expand full comment

Gail, most Endos are trained to only look at TSH which is really a sign of the pituitary gland- The pituitary gland is the TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone)

Synthroid is only T4, the inactive form of thyroxine that needs to be converted to T3. If you have a conversion issue, that would explain why you don't get better. Several women MDs I have studied under are thyroid experts as well as others I use for reference. Many women suffer with inadequate or the wrong treatment, for years, unfortunately. You may also need some T3 added to your treatment.

Has your Eno done a complete panel that includes Free T3, Free T4, and thyroid antibodies to rule out Hashimoto's?

There are several other things that could be at play. If you don't have enough stomach acid, you may not convert that T4, as well as if you are lacking the nutrients that the thyroid requires for optimal health, like: iron, iodine, zinc, selenium, tyrosine, vitamins E, B2 ,B6, C, & D

You could also consider trying one of the natural forms of thyroid supplementation, like

Armour Thyroid, Nature-Thyroid or WesThroid. Your Endo will most likely not know about them. Synthroid is a synthetic form and contains gluten which is not good for the thyroid. There is some molecular mimicry with gluten and dairy and the thyroid.

Here are a few links. Aviva Romm, MD is who I study Herbal medicine for Women with. She's brilliant. I send her article to any client with thyroid issues. You need to know all about the thyroid, even if your End has not been trained to. Hope this helps.

He has done that at least. I have Gastropresis from a Meniere's Vertigo fall a few yrs ago. So I'm now a Type 2 Diabetic also, tried to shove Metformin on me, I already knew it was a worthless drug, as is Glimerpride. Humalog does well. But am noticing more sugar drops. There isn't much in the bland food category that is fresh in our grocery store. I taste the metal in the canned food, gotten sick on the chicken, to the point I had SIBO. Lots of junk food. Many of the foods I can't digest or fall into the avoid because of seeds, Diverticulois, 4 spots of Barrett's Esophagus precancers, Hiatal Hernia. Other than tyrosine, I take the others listed. Along with a big dose of Pre-Probiotics. Bone Vits/Mins. He has mentioned the Amour, but not pursued it. To say it best I'm a nightmare to treat. Gastro thought he'd palm Protonic off, I look up every drug. Prilosec is on my reaction list as are the other 2 Tricare Life covers. Nexium has been the only 1, I don't react to. But I want off it, those 20 mg boxes are just 10 mg, I'd need 6 tabs a day. Eat smaller meals, I eat twice a day, small meals, taking 4 hrs to digest easy digest food is painful. If it doesn't digest it's eliminated.

Wow! NO, I didn't know that!!!!!!!!!! And, now look at a generation raised on all kinds of hidden and not-so-hidden soy in practically everything. I guess the ploy worked. Ugh.

Expand full comment

I was prescribed tofu by my Naturopath in the 80s. I’ll spare you the details but it didn’t agree with me and I quit eating it.

Expand full comment

In traditional Chinese medicine, tofu is considered to be an extremely cooling food, both for the soy and for the gypsum which is used to bond (coagulate) the soy together. Because of this, in traditional Chinese cooking they always mix tofu with heating foods like Chili's, and many people who have constitutions that are too cold to begin with do not tolerate tofu well. One of the most common issues is that it messes with the digestive fire.

Expand full comment

It's been two decades since my corp soy research but pretty sure the traditional method of making tofu with kombu and another seaweed changed the chemical composition that has no resemblance to the calcium chloride varieties..

Another fun memory was the soy protein stank so badly it wasn't fit for animal feed and a Nazi process of ammonia washing was the key to making soy diet staple. Now over99% of American soy is Monsanto gmo fully subsidized and soaked in glyphosate.

I have read things recently that soy is feminizing for men, or something to that effect. A hormone disruptor. Of course it isn’t easy to separate the wheat from the chaff in medical literature, at least for me. My 80s Naturopath said my blood type favored a vegetarian diet. I felt awful when I tried it so I have discarded that theory.

Expand full comment

Purely anecdotal, but I met a couple of guys who grew up on soy milk because their parents were vegan (2 families, so I can't attribute it to a particular familial trait). They were not very manly, to put it mildly. Other vegan dietary habits may contribute, but I've met other vegetarians and they were not feminized the same way.

The TCM naturopath, that my mother and I share told my mother, that she estimates about half of her patients have some sort of vax injury. (Considering the clientele she has and the fact, that she actively told my mother not to take the vax, the majority of her vaxxed patients have some sort of vax injury) She told my mother that the vax impairs the flow of blood in the body and that it either makes the body too hot or too cold (I cannot recall, whether my mother said hot or cold) and that this combination usually leads to cancers.

I would like to see a governor grow a pair and call a special task force to investigate vax injury in the public eye. Show how the injured trial participants were thrown to the curb and not even treated for their injuries. Shine a light on how the federal govt / pharma “cares” about you. Start a database like Vaers and then publish weekly updates. Have a weekly press conference and have vax injured give their stories kind of like Ron Johnson did. Call a special session of state congress and outlaw vax mandates including the fed one for anyone working for place that receives federal funds. Defy the feds. Call it out. Make pharma feds defend their “science”. Sigh a girl can dream...

Hokum in NY issued an EO that allows the department of health to inter people with no due process (supposedly for quarantine). This was from a CHD interview of a lawyer filing suit against it on behalf of NY legislators claiming, correctly, that only the legislature can do this and there is no support there for such a law.

Tough but necessary reading, Doc. Over a 55 years time span, prior to 2022 I had first hand knowledge of 4 people whose cancer diagnosis was followed shortly by death, three metastatic breast cancer, one pancreatic. In 2022, I lost one neighbour to “aggressive” cancer (4 months from diagnosis to death), one close relative to massive brain hemorrhage (no prior history of circulatory disease), a 52 y.o. Father of three who was diagnosed with a rare case of Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocystosis (no prior family history, mere weeks from diagnosis to death), and a lady in her 40s with who was diagnosed with breast cancer and died weeks later from metastatic brain cancer. Yep, what are the odds. May God help us.

Some of what is happening in nearly criminal. These mRNA appear to have strong genetic links that we don't understand. Much like we know of individuals who have never become ill despite repeated exposure to the virus and solid evidence from the UK Challenge trials where nearly half never became ill. So SARs-CoV-2 has a differential effects that we don't understand. Given the complexity of our genome along with the complexity of our immune system we are dabbling at interpretation of data.

I got the two doses mainly because at 82 and with typical commodities, I felt at risk and trusted our health officials. I watched at younger healthier people got in front of the line because their fear was consuming them. I didn't feel fear but thought caution would be adequate pending the vaccination. Then I learned more, enough to say no to boosters even though I suspect I would likely be OK but my mistrust is now huge. So I practice sanitation of mouth and nose after going out in public. Maybe it works, maybe not but at least I am positive it won't hurt me.

Maybe my two doses put me at risk of a future adverse effect, who can know. It's not worth the worry. But my anger at our public health officials is palpable. I have contacted my representatives in their black hole of no responsibility. Are we not to have any challenge to malfeasance? Any open debate about why so many acted so irresponsibly? How can the building evidence of harm be so ignored?

I suppose I have become an old kook. Pity I can't have a touch of dementia as an excuse.

I have been studying and trying to understand the adverse effects of these vaccines on a very sophisticated level for well over a year, but despite that I feel it is going to be at least five years before we fully understand a lot of the harms these things have. When they came to the market, I thought they were most likely going to cause a lot of problems, but I did not anticipate them being anywhere near this dangerous.

Malone has noted all his difficulties over 10 years in attempting to trick the immune system and reports another 10 years after that as others tried. Actually it was the tests for downs showing positive that was up significantly from previous years. She did say that a couple of women who had a positive test gave birth to kids who were ok. There were a lot of studies published prior to the vaccines showing the spike protein had an unprecedented degree of molecular mimicry with human tissue and various complaints to regulators sent out. Given that the vaccines were designed to have these antigens then present on the surface of cells, it became quite clear this would be a very bad idea and a recipe for autoimmunity.

In Pfizer's leaked EMA (europe's FDA) documents, they opted out of performing the required autoimmunity studies, which I took as a tacit admission it was known the vaccines would cause autoimmunity

I wonder about the degree of viremia in cases of mild covid. It seems that cases of mild covid still show low levels of ground glass opacity in the lungs, which points toward some viremia.

I suspect that a lot of vaccine damage is actually enhanced-covid damage that occurs when people get covid after vaccination.

I believe there are a number of people who have Covid with viremia that is essentially asymptomatic, but once they are vaccinated the infection completely changes into something deadly.
