I have a profound time being able to read on the phone and I’m not able to get the audio to play on this article. Is there anyway I can get audio to play? I’ve been off the site for a while and wonder if there’s been changes. I see that you’re revamping this article because it’s gotten so large, which is great but too much for my brain.

In the future, I may get to printing things out again, which helps but audio is the max for me❤️ thanks again for all that you do and for sharing it with us and all the other doctors and researchers

"he found that at an optimal dose of 1.2–1.5 g/day, bradykinesia was eliminated, pain and dystonia reduced by 80%, stiffness reduced by 50%, and energy levels were markedly higher."

Wow, that dosage amount(about 1/3 tsp) seems so small.

Where does one go to get a form of dmso to keep in the medicine cabinet? Does it make you smell bad.

What is the shelf life?

Applying DMSO 99% strength gel 2-3 times a day on an inflamed, swollen finger joint is having no effect. What am I doing wrong? Others rave about its ability to relieve arthritis to small joints when applied topically. What’s the secret???

Very strange as I, and family members, have had great success using topical DMSO with a multitude of musculoskeletal issues . We only apply once a day(99%) and its typically resolved within 24-36 hrs, if not sooner.

You may want to consider oral dosing (1/2 to 1 tsp/day in 4-5 oz of distilled water or natural juice). Try for several days to see if there is a difference.

Thanks for your response! I tried oral dosing for a couple of weeks several months ago with no discernible benefit. I seem to be an outlier as someone who doesn't get the same results as others using DMSO.

What was your dosing in concentrations that you were using? Just curious as I’ve had profound effects for the good?

I've been scanning this article hoping for information on neuropathy as I have it in my feet and beginning to notice it in one hand. I've been applying DMSO to my feet most nights and seem to feel some improvement but would like to read your research if any on how to treat it and if anything is known about DMSO on neuropathy.

There's a massive amount of data showing it does that and a lot of readers have reported it has. All of that is beyond scope of what I can cover in this one and will go later in the neurrology series.

Thank you, I look forward to that!

When I started using DMSO orally studying at 1 teaspoon once to twice a day in tomato juice or purified water within 1 to 2 weeks, there was a profound change in my neuropathy of over three years, due to clots in both my legs as well as nerve damage in my right leg where I had to stop teaching and doing tai chi I was able to resume it finally after three or has it been four years?

There was also a profound difference in breathing and lower extremity swelling difficulties that I had starting with Covid profoundly where I didn’t have to do any more nebulizing or inhalers in my endurance, came back. However, I noticed the last few weeks when I was busy moving and slacked off on my twice a day 2 to 3 teaspoons of DMSO. My breathing problems have come back a little bit as well as decreased endurance in the evening, so even more proof that it works for multiple areas. Best of luck if you read the articles, it does suggest oral for more effective use and there are certified doctors that use it and may even do IV work

This book has some relevant info on that condition:

The DMSO Handbook A New Paradigm in Healthcare

I had to search for a while to find a free pdf download. If you wish I can email it to you.

Also, previous articles by the MWD has had some info on this condition IIRC.

I've been using DMSO on and off for about 2 years. Recently I was using it a lot on my neck and got a burn so bad that it scabbed up and peeled off. I'm using a new batch of DMSO from the DMSO store, a 70% DMSO gel with aloe vera. I've also been drinking a teaspoon and suddenly my whole body is itchy. Could I have gotten allergic suddenly? I am not a typically allergic person. Or could this be a bad batch? Or something else entirely...? Maybe it's healing? Toxins coming through my skin?

AMD always says how save DMSO is, and from all the people who take it that seems to be the case. But I saw papers on pubmed about side effects. Maybe side effects are fairly common but are not dangerous and go away when the DMSO is stopped.

Epic effort, thanks.

Thanks; this is just a rough draft that has not yet been edited I'm posting since article length locked me out of putting it in the original article.

I'm wondering if 9-Methyl-β-carboline (9-Me-BC) would be a good match to mix with Dmso for Parkinson's because it directly increases the dopamine producing cells in the brain and also increases dopamine uptake though sadly there isn't much safety data on it.

Well, I see that it would be interesting for everyone to take DMSO, even without presenting any apparent symptoms, because it improves circulation in all areas and has no significant side effects. Is that correct? I'll add it to my supplement basket, since it's certain to be beneficial and certainly not harmful.
